This hit me today as I was reading:
I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. (Psalm 111:1-4)
It’s easy for me to get distracted. I just got off a week filled with Jesus’ Spirit and empowering. The conferences I went to were awesome. But when I’m drained, tired, and full of so many thoughts to process, as I am this week, I tend to feel distant from Jesus.
As I read this Psalm today I started to remember how good God is. How He’s healed my wife of PCOS and we have a growing, healthy child. How He’s healed me from my emotional and sexual brokenness that I can even be married, happily married at that, and in love with my wife. How He’s provided so tangibly and abundantly even though my wife lost her job in January. How He’s moved through us to help and heal so many people around us. Wow Jesus, as I remember and ponder these deeds, I’m amazed and in awe of you!
